Codename: Carter represents the clandestine underbelly of rock. They have taken classic spy theme influences and reverb-soaked guitar & drum onslaughts from 60s surf rock and married them to the sounds of a Rhodes electric piano, a growling sax, trumpet, harpsichord, and organ to create something progressive and wholly original. They are the soundtrack to the spy movie in your head, and they are:

Their first album, published in 2016, is self-titled and consists of all original material. It was produced by Robert “Big Bad Bob” Ferbrache, Steve Gray, and Michael Behrenhausen (with engineering by Robert Ferbrache at Absinthe Studio in Colorado and mastering by Pete Lyman at Infrasonic Sound in California). All songs were written and performed by Codename: Carter with lyrics by Steve Gray.
